Program Overview:

VIDEOTAPING: Videoplayback of spins, jumps and solo practice available.

ON ICE PROGRAM:
Our canskate program is a group activity. Skaters are divided into groups according to their level. They are coached by both professional coaches and program assistants. The skaters are taken through a warm up and then divided into groups for group lessons.
Juniors will get 2 group lessons and Seniors will have a 10 minute stroking with a coach on their sessions.

ONLY SKATERS AND COACHES ALLOWED ON THE ICE!!!

Make up sessions are at the discretion of the executive and not permitted in the last week of any session of skating. Arrangements must be made with Coach Marg Hadley 705-799-6648 (home) or 705-328-5995 (cell) 24 hours in advance.

Guest Skating will only be granted if space permits. Fees must be paid before going on the ice and there will be unlimited guest skating at $20 a session. Permission must be obtained 24 hours in advance from Marg Hadley.

There will be a maximum number of skaters allowed on the ice.

NO SKATER WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE ICE UNTIL A REGISTRATION FORM AND ALL CHEQUES ARE RECEIVED.

Registration will be accepted on a first come basis as space may be limited.

General Rules & Regulations:

CODE OF CONDUCT:

Any behaviour that is discourteous or puts a individual at risk for injury is unacceptable to the club. The LSC club promotes appropriate behaviour and conduct to be displayed by skaters, coaches (on ice and
off ice), executive and officials.

PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT:
We are trying to build a positive friendly environment for our club. Any behaviours that are discourteous to skaters, coaches, other parents, executive and/or officials are not acceptable.
Any act of solicitation that is related to skating is not acceptable to our club. Any questions or concerns need to be brought to an executive member.

LEVELS OF SKATING FOR SPRING:
CANSKATE - Learn to skate program
PRE ELITE - Must have passed Stage 5
INTERMEDIATE - Must have passed 2 Preliminary tests or be 11 years old
SENIOR - Must have passed 2 Senior Bronze tests (Skills & Dance) or Junior Bronze Freeskate

Coaches and executive may need to adjust skating levels depending on the numbers of skaters at each level.
